BECOME AN AFFILIATE

Also, our course delivery platform, Udemy.com, now offers a very generous affiliate program. Anyone can become an affiliate and make money by promoting OUXI (and other) courses through your own email lists, websites, blogs and social networks. Affiliates earn a full 50% of a course fee when a student originating from their affiliate link registers for a course.

If you have a network of others who may be interested in online courses on topics related to the User eXperience (or any other Udemy course topics for that matter), it's very easy and free to get set up as an affiliate. It's much like Amazon's affiliate program, if you are familiar with that, but the affiliate fees are much more generous.

If you would like simple instructions for how to become an affiliate, please email> us your interest and we will send them to you.

New courses

The world of online training continues to grow, clearly the way of the future. Others are developing courses on the User Experience, and as we encounter them, we will vet them and add those we feel worth considering to our Course List page. We have just added two such courses - Design Your User Experience in 7 Simple Steps by Amir Khella, and User Experience: The Ultimate Guide to Usability, by David Travis. Both are well attended and get high ratings from attendees, and you can find them in the "Miscellaneous" table of the Course List.

Two other courses are currently under development and should be launched in the next few months. One is D 15.2, User Efficiency: Evaluation and Design, by Deborah J. Mayhew, and the other is D 105, Demystifying Affordances, by Rex Hartson. Once live, they will be announced through this newsletter.

Faculty are busy developing new courses, but in the meanwhile, if you need some distraction, we have posted some new UX cartoons on the Break! page. Please send us any UX related humor you find that we can add to this page.  We all need to chuckle at at least once a day!

Again, thanks for your interrest in staying in touch, and please use the "share" buttons on every OUXI web site page to help us get the word out.  We are encouraged to have already received hundreds of site visits from all over the world (over 1,300 visits from 59 countries sinced we launched in February 2011).

Open for Registration

OUXI is pleased to announce that its first course is open for registration.

This course is aimed at small web business owners, students and others with little or no experience/training in software and web usability.

It addresses one of three key aspects of the User eXperience of eCommerce and other web sites: usability (other courses in the curriculum address designing for persuasion and graphic design).

The course is very concrete, a "how-to" course offering actionable guidelines and hands on exercises.

The full course description page is at: http://www.ouxinstitute.com/Curriculum/CourseDescriptions/index.php

A generous discount is automatically offered to the first 25 registrants during registration.
